1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Happie mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Happie ("we", "us", or "our").

2. Description of Service

Happie is a social meal planning application that allows users to:

• Create and join cooking groups
• Vote on meal suggestions
• Track dinner attendance
• Plan special occasions
• Save favorite recipes

The App is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the App, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in suspicious activity.

4. User Conduct

When using Happie, you agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Post offensive, inappropriate, or misleading content
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the App's operation
• Create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the App to send spam or unsolicited messages

We reserve the right to remove content and terminate accounts that violate these guidelines.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

Our Content: The App, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by Happie and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

Your Content: You retain ownership of content you create (such as your display name and profile photo). By using the App, you grant us a license to display this content to other users as necessary for the App's functionality.

Recipe Content: Recipe suggestions and meal information provided in the App may come from various sources. We do not claim ownership of recipe content and provide it for informational purposes only.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Recipe or nutritional information is accurate or complete

You use the App at your own risk. We are not responsible for any dietary decisions made based on information in the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Happie and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or profits
• Business interruption
• Personal injury or property damage
• Any other damages arising from your use of the App

Our total liability for any claims arising from these Terms or use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (if any).

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in the Netherlands.
